TAA Trust Fund started in 1992 with its original name Tabung Amal Aidilfitri or TAA. The idea of forming TAA was mooted by Encik Sidek Saniff, who was then the Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education. TAA was first formed by 19 Malay/Muslim Organisations.
On 30 June 2006 TAA was registered as a Trust and is now known as TAA Trust Fund. However, it is popularly known by its abbreviation TAA. Its main objective is to raise funds from the general public, especially during the fasting of month of Ramadan and distributed them to the poor and needy, the chronically ill and kidney patients.
